On Thursday, May 21, 2009 the Barre Technical Center inducted 14 students into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). Criteria for acceptance into the NTHS include

More than 70 family members, students, teachers and friends of the inductees attended a dinner, followed by the induction ceremony.

Criteria for induction into NTHS include: An A average in the student's Technical Classes, no other grade lower than a B in academic classes, recommendation from a teacher, leadership potential and school or community involvement, and no more than 2 excused absences per quarter.
